''cleveland'', ohio, u.s.-based ''electronic / e.b.m./ industrial'' band ''filament 38'' was conceived in 2001 as the expressive vision of a person called ''ash''.
a series of well received live performances & quickly recorded demos found the attention of chicago's ''negative gain productions'' label, so the first filament's record deal was signed, back in august of 2002. at the same year, in december, their first debut album entitled ''fractured'' went out. it was well recognized north american type of ''electronic / e.b.m. / industrial'', so much similar to the ''mentallo & the fixer'' & ''front line assembly'' type of thing.
in april of 2005 the second c.d., ''unstable'', was released & it was a band's continuation of further exploration of a gray area of ''electronic'' music. ''unstable'' provided the band festival appearances at ''blacksun 2006'' & ''reverence 2007'', & performances alongside bands such as ''front 242'', ''my life with the thrill kill kult'' & ''assemblage 23''.
in 2010 maybe their most crucial album, ''frail'', went out, alongside ''relics'' e.p., both released for up-above mentioned ''negative gain productions'':
